Major Update!

Hello everybody and Happy Memorial Day Weekend! No matter how hot it gets in Las Vegas, the city still won't open public pools until after today! It has been a busy weekend for me, and I am WAY behind on editing my photos! New changes are happening in my house, and yesterday I had an incident with a dodgeball and my eye that resulted in shooting downtime. But, never fear! Here is what's going on in photography land for me. Please allow a few days for the updates to occur!

My photo shoot with Mirror of Fault is RESCHEDULED - DATE TBA! The band needed a little more time to decide exactly what they wanted to do and when, and we needed to scout our location more thoroughly. Tomorrow night I have my shoot with The Sancho Johnny Band for their live gig at the Island Grill in Las Vegas, Maryland Parkway and Karen Avenue from 9pm - 1am. I will not be shooting the whole time, but after the gig is done we will be having an after show shoot. The show is free, and usually they have drink specials for ladies! Feel free to drop by and meet, or just hang out and watch a rockin Vegas band! I'll have to ask them if they have a link or contact I can post! Also, Wednesday I wil be meeting with Terrell Neasley! We will be discussing new projects, current work, and what has changed since we last worked together! I am very excited to see him because it's been about two years since I saw him last, and we are both very like minded on our paths now, I think. I hope he will be stoked for the work I am doing now! This sunday I have my MGM/Mirage photoshoot with Maxx K. and Tracy, and the photos will be presented at a town hall June 8th, 2010 directed towards allowing more personal expression in the workplace. Las Vegas is a very image conscious community, however all the major casino employment standards require everyone to dress and present themselves in a uniform manner. But, everything is so drab and boring, and there's nothing to extinguish the employees from patrons. Additionally, they will be discussing casino lighting changes. The group I'm working with is arguing that in such an image conscious city, we do nothing with the lighting to use it to enhance the property or the skin tones of the patrons. The lights make us look dead, and how can that be good for corporations? that's the basic pretext of the discussion. Hopefully (and I do say hopefully) I will be able to have my mansion shoot here soon, and we will be also posing with one very famous Shelby Mustang (fingers crossed!) that's all I can say! So far that's all that's on the books, I think!

Thanks to everybody who has been checking out my blog as of recently! I really appreciate all the support and feedback I've been getting! I wish I could find a way to set up a button that would text/email me with all comments and stuff. I have been taking everything into account, but I have been getting a lot of GOOD feedback about the design/layout! I want to keep it simple, and I like the pink/fuschia color. I need to get some business cards made!

Anywho, there is A LOT of work that needs to be done to this blog! I mainly just put everything up here to finally get it up and have a place of reference for my work and for contacting me. I will be overhauling the pages as time permits, but what I really want to work on is optimizing my images for the web and building a bigger gallery.

  • I will be updating today and renaming the "Casting Call" page to "Work with Me" or something like that. I will be changing the format so projects are listed by open ages/adult work. I am trying to keep this blog work safe/family friendly because I work with all types of clients! But, upon request, examples of my other work can be viewed. Also, each project idea will be listed individually with a list of exactly what I have in mind. The list may not be done today, but it's a start.
  • The gallery will have more images as soon as I can find the time to edit. The problem I seem to be having here is I can't quite figure out the HTML that lets me make an actual gallery, so for the meantime I am just posting photos in blog view.
  • The contact page format will be changed. Hopefully I can add an email submission box with fields to fill in!
  • Be sure to check out my twitter! www.twitter.com/anaisproduction   PLEASE NOTE! The URL link for my twitter is not my usual handle anaisproductions but MY TWITTER DOES NOT HAVE AN S AT THE END! ANAISPRODUCTION     no   S ! Thanks to those of you who are already following me!
  • If you have my old twitter (www.twitter.com/anaisfetish) or my old blog (www.anais.blog.com) please delete those links because those pages will no longer be updated! Also, if you are using any other email besides anaisproductions@gmail.com you are using the wrong one!
  • I still can't figure out how to allow people to subscribe to my blog! All the subscribe to links I posted did not work, so I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong!
  • The resume page will be the final project to be completed.
  • The current shoots page has been reformatted and updated with my latest projects!!! Also, it includes artist information of all the people involved with a shoot, and how to contact them.
  • My modelmayhem is still not approved yet, but my ID is #1696482 and my handle is anaisproductions.
  • I also updated the links for Lisa and Maxx on my project page. Lisa now has her modeling modelmayhem there, and Maxx's Facebook profile is linked. Look for their links on the new Conspirators page. This will be a showcase and contact page for the other people I have worked with.
  • Finally, my about me page is pretty extensive I know, and needs some work.
That about wraps up what's going on this week! Tomorrow I start my Anthropology class and I am not too excited about the additional work load! Summer is usually my slow season, but I'm not so sure what to expect this year!
